Founded in 1988, PAWS Humane Society was formed as a service organization to help animals in need. Since there were already other animal shelters in the area, we decided that we could better serve the animals by dealing directly with their problems and needs.
WE OPERATE AS A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION WITH NO ACTUAL PHYSICAL LOCATION.
We are a non-profit animal welfare organization.
We are not affiliated with Winnebago County Animal Services.

*Winnebago County Animal Services- 4517 N. Main St. 815-319-4100 for a Google map.Also visit  for area rescue groups. PAWS Humane Society is a local, non-profit charitable organization. We have no affiliation with any national animal welfare organizations, nor do we receive any financial support from any national organization. We are not a governmental agency, and we receive no tax dollars or other support from government agencies. We exist solely to the extent of the support we receive from the communities we serve.
